São anunciados os indicados ao prêmio Tony 2011

Foram anunciadas nesta terça-feira, 3 de maio, na New York Public Library for the Performing Arts' Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center no Lincoln Center, em Nova York, as indicações para o 65º Prêmio Tony. A lista de indicados ao mais famoso prêmio de teatro norte-americano foi anunciada por Matthew Broaderick e Anika Noni Rose, dois antigos vencedores.
No topo da lista desse ano está o musical The Book of Mormon que recebeu extraordinárias 14 indicações, número que só perde para as 15 obtidas por Billy Elliot e The Producers em cerimônias anteriores. The Scottsboro Boys, musical que já saiu de cartaz, também concorre em muitas categorias, 12 no total, seguido de Anything Goes que ficou em terceiro lugar no ranking (9) e How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (8).
Mas não foram só os musicais que receberam muitos aplausos dos jurados: a produção de Al Pacino  para The Merchant of Venice (O Mercador de Veneza) mostrou a que veio e recebeu 6 indicações.
A cerimônia de premiação dos vencedores será realizada e transmitida ao vivo pela CBS nos EUA no dia 12 de junho. Façam suas apostas!
